Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Regent Arcade Shopping Centre. You will be the public face of the security team and client, delivering first-class customer service while upholding professional standards.

This role requires a valid SIA licence, the ability to work 3 on/3 off 12-hour shifts (42 hours per week), and a proactive, calm approach under pressure. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence(s) required.
• Knowledge of Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer/client focused and able to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy required.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor license essential.
• SIA CCTV license desirable or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors/tenants to deliver first-class service.
• Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre.
• Maintain professional grooming and adhere to uniform standards.
• Ensure a safe environment for all visitors/tenants.
• Liaise with control room and respond to incidents.
• Assist third-party contractors and visitors with site procedures.
• Coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Follow radio procedures at all times.
• Undertake other duties as required.

ABM UK is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer will ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site. The Security Officer is the public face of the Security Team & Client and should always act with professionalism. A can-do attitude is essential in this highly influential role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To readily interact with all visitors/tenants within the shopping centre, delivering first class customer focused service.
• Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre as detailed in the site Assignment Instructions.
• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful always.
• To ensure exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the site uniform requirements.
• To ensure that the site is a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors/tenants.
• Liaising with site control room proactively reacting to incidents
• Help third party contractors/visitors ensuring all site procedures/policies are adhered to.
• To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents
• Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
• N.B – Core tasks are as above, although this list is not exhaustive.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Valid SIA Licence(s)
• Have knowledge of Assignment Instructions (AI’s)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer/Client focused.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy required.

ESSENTIAL

• SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor license.
• SIA CCTV license is desirable, or the willingness to work towards.
