Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Lidl at Holdenhurst Rd, Bournemouth. This 20-hour-per-week role includes weekend day shifts with overtime for holiday/absence cover. You will protect customers and assets, operate CCTV and EAS gates, and receive full training and induction.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all
