Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Retail Security Officer for Lidl Littlehampton. The role covers 47 hours per week across five shifts, with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. Full training and induction are provided, along with a flexible benefits scheme and opportunities for overtime.

The successful candidate will deter theft, manage incidents, and operate CCTV and EAS gates while collaborating with other security personnel to ensure a safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License is required.
• Five-year checkable employment history or evidence of unemployment/self-employment/education may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following training.
• Utilize CCTV, EAS gates and store security systems.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Report crime incidents using a tablet provided by the company.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Education
