Mitie has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Security Officer at our Lidl Holdenhurst Rd store in Bournemouth. Enjoy discounted benefits and gain high-quality experience within the security industry. Full training and a quality induction will be provided.

Role details include 20 hours per week with overtime available for holiday/absence cover, and pay at £14.30 per hour. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays Day shifts, with uniform provided and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License.
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education.
• Previous experience in a retail security role.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
