Colchester Institute is seeking a Security Manager to lead and develop the college's security teams, ensuring safety for staff, students and visitors. You will implement ID policy, promote standards and work closely with departments to safeguard the campus environment.

The role focuses on security operations, emergency planning and safeguarding, with collaboration across Student Services, Safeguarding Officers and leadership teams to maintain a safe, welcoming campus.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security teams and ensuring campus safety.
• Knowledge of emergency planning and incident response.
• Experience in safeguarding and promoting campus wellbeing.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage and develop the College’s security teams to ensure safety and security of staff, students, visitors and assets.
• Implement and develop the College ID policy, promoting professional standards among stakeholders.
• Plan, develop and implement security measures and emergency preparedness plans to minimise risk.
• Oversee car park operations, equipment maintenance, payment processes and compliance.
• Provide specialist security advice to estates planning and campus development.
• Collaborate with internal partners on safeguarding, wellbeing and the Prevent Duty.
