Job summary

Bury College is seeking an experienced Student Safety & Security Manager to lead campus safety and security across multiple sites. The role includes coordinating external security contractors, ensuring appropriate resources, and maintaining a visible, professional presence on campus.

You will work with safeguarding, pastoral, curriculum and estates teams to identify risks, support early intervention, and ensure proactive security measures in a busy FE environment.

Qualifications

• Security management, public safety or a comparable operational service.
• Experience with CCTV, access control and other security technology.
• Safeguarding, information sharing and escalation of concerns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day deployment and operational performance of contracted security personnel.
• Ensure secure coverage across campuses during events and high-risk periods.
• Provide clear direction and briefings on safeguarding procedures and escalation.
