Job summary

Newham College London is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator to support Senior Management and Security in creating a welcoming, safe environment on campus. The role includes line management of the Student Engagement team, handling day-to-day concerns, and ensuring follow-up actions in line with the College Codes of Conduct.

You will implement duty manager and critical incident plans, coordinate with security and Curriculum Management, and uphold positive behaviour through regular reporting

Qualifications

• Experience of pastoral care and safeguarding in an education setting.
• Ability to manage incidents and investigations in a college environment.
• Strong communication with students, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality customer care to visitors, staff and students while upholding behaviour standards.
• Support the duty manager process and incident plan, coordinating with security and senior managers.
• Lead the Student Engagement team and report on at-risk interventions.
• Refer students to Student Services and liaise with parents and external agencies as needed.
• Support attendance improvement and safeguarding across study programmes.
