Job summary

G4S Security at Hinkley Point C in Somerset is seeking a Junior Systems Installation Engineer to join a site-based engineering team. The role involves installation, commissioning, surveys, and documentation within a 42.5-hour week, permanent and on-site.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the team, maintaining stock, and contributing to safety audits and permits. UK right-to-work is required, with 5-year history and English fluency essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security installations or electrical/data engineering.
• Understanding of BS standards for security systems and NSI/NCP PD6662:2017.
• Ability to commission IP devices and work with analogue and IP-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and commissioning works as directed by team coordinators or Senior Site Engineer.
• Assist the Design Team in site surveys for additional works.
• Record site hardware/software configurations with CAD Engineer.
• Maintain site stock levels and records.
• Assist Health and Safety Lead in audits and quality procedures.
• Prepare Risk Assessments and Permits to Work documentation.
• Collaborate with other site teams to ensure smooth information flow.
