Job summary

EDF Energy is looking for a Junior Systems Installation Engineer to join our site‑based engineering team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. This permanent, full-time position involves installation and commissioning, interacting with site teams while maintaining high safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic security installations, excellent knowledge of BS standards, and a strong IT background. Fluent English and the right to work in the UK are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years installing/servicing products within electronic security industry.
• Comfortable working irregular hours and on a 24/7 call rota.
• 5-year checkable employment history & right to work in the UK/EU unrestricted.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation and commissioning works directed by team coordinators or Senior Site Engineer.
• Maintain site stock levels and accurate records.
• Assist in audits and quality procedures.

Skills

Security installations specialist

Understanding of BS standards for security systems

Ability to commission IP devices

2 years in electronic security industry

Broad IT knowledge

Basic electrical knowledge

Attention to detail
