Job summary

Isle of Anglesey County Council is seeking a Security Engineer within the Data, Digital & Technology (DDaT) function. The role focuses on monitoring, detection and remediation of vulnerabilities across the Council’s applications, servers and cloud infrastructure.

The post works with other disciplines to continually improve security of enterprise IT solutions and to develop training, policies and awareness-raising programmes.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, detection and remediation of vulnerabilities and security issues in Council’s applications, servers and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve security of enterprise IT solutions and develop training, policies and awareness programmes.
• Research emerging technologies in vulnerability detection and response to prepare for changes in the security landscape.
• Support and mentor team members, ensure continual improvement of security posture and resilience of IT infrastructure.
• Produce documents and guidelines and identify areas to improve within the team.
