Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Safety & Security Business Analyst to deliver high-quality analysis, insights and delivery support across its health, safety and security agenda in a hybrid Durrington role.

You will translate data, risk and stakeholder requirements into clear analysis, dashboards and practical delivery plans, enabling better decision-making and assurance for colleagues, customers and assets in a £7.8bn AMP8 investment programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business analyst or transformation support in a complex organisation.
• Experience in operational, risk, assurance, compliance and health & safety contexts.
• Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes and analyzing data to recommend improvements.
• Knowledge of business analysis methods: requirements gathering, process mapping, options appraisal and benefits tracking.
• Experience with performance reporting, data quality, MI and dashboard development.
• Awareness of risk management, governance, assurance and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data into clear insight, recommendations and actions.
• Excellent written communication for reports, papers and briefings for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work with HSSW leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs, risks, processes and improvement opportunities across safety, wellbeing, physical security and assurance.
• Develop clear business requirements, process maps, options analysis and recommendations to support HSSW transformation, governance and continuous improvement activity.
• Produce high-quality analysis, dashboards, reports and papers for senior stakeholders, governance forums and regulatory or assurance activity.
• Analyse leading and lagging performance indicators, incident data, audit findings, risk information and action plans to identify trends, gaps and areas requiring intervention.
• Support the development and maintenance of HSSW plans, POAPs, trackers and performance reporting, ensuring actions, owners, milestones and benefits are visible and managed.
