South West Water Limited, Exeter, is seeking a Security Testing & Assurance Specialist to strengthen the resilience of our IT estate. You will plan and deliver security testing across applications, cloud and networks, partnering with OT/ICS where relevant.

This role combines hands‑on testing with assurance activities, requiring SC clearance eligibility. It offers a hybrid working arrangement, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in security testing, penetration testing, or security assurance.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities, attack paths, and control weaknesses.
• Experience producing technical and executive‑facing security reports.
• Experience with cyber security exercises or simulations.
• Experience working with project teams and technical stakeholders to validate security controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver security testing and assurance activities across projects and services.
• Define risk-based testing strategies and assurance plans.
• Review architectures and designs for security weaknesses and testing needs.
• Conduct application, web, API, cloud, infrastructure, network and identity assessments.
• Produce high‑quality reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Support remediation tracking and closure.
