Job summary

Vaultex UK Ltd is seeking a Security Officer to protect staff and customers at our site in Washington, Tyne and Wear. You will monitor access control, CCTV and premises, and support the Control Room Supervisor with health, safety and security tasks.

The role requires vigilance, reliability and good communication to interact with visitors, contractors and colleagues. Training is provided, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Good computer literacy skills.
• Confident questioning with clear communication.
• Flexible and adaptable to tasks and hours.
• Well-organised with ability to multi-task.
• Experience in security (control room an advantage, training provided).

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day security operations and follow Vaultex/B of E procedures.
• Be first point of contact for visitors and staff on site.
• Carry out daily security checks to minimise site risk.
• Manage on-site visitors, contractors, deliveries and external agencies.
• Conduct perimeter checks and searches.
• Monitor CCTV and test alarms; assist with security checks.
• Record information accurately.
• Assist with building maintenance.
• Address health & safety issues and escalate appropriately.
• Coordinate with Vaultex Control Room; perform other duties as needed.
