Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking an SCC Operative to monitor security systems, respond to incidents and support the Security Control Centre around the clock. You will help manage alarms, access control, and investigative activities while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

The role requires NSV SC clearance eligibility or current CTC clearance, and a strong focus on process, accuracy, and timely actions.

Qualifications

• Operational experience in SCC, AMC, ARC or SOC
• Familiar with CCTV, alarms and access control systems
• Ability to follow monitoring, response, emergency and escalation procedures

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and CCTV to ensure site systems work correctly
• Triage incident reports to trigger correct responses and keep audit trails
• Provide security incident support to operational sites during outages or incidents
• Activate disaster recovery plans for the SCC as required
• Manage the SCC working environment and access processes
• Support system health checks and data access requests with the team
• Coordinate with third-party contractors for maintenance and defect management
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support SCC upgrade projects
