Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist – Security Connector in London to bridge security engineering, governance, and business lines. You will translate high-level standards into practical patterns for cloud-native architectures, microservices, and AI integrations.

The role focuses on regulatory alignment, risk management, and secure-by-design cloud implementations across major platforms. Contract (Inside IR35) / Permanent with exposure to enterprise-scale projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cyber Security Engineering, Architecture or DevSecOps in regulated sectors.
• Experience embedding security into SDLC, cloud-native architectures and APIs.
• Ability to translate enterprise security standards into concrete patterns.

Responsibilities

• Act as security liaison to product lines and DevOps, accelerating secure delivery.
• Embed IAM, network security, cryptography, and secure-by-design principles into streams.
• Lead threat modelling sessions (STRIDE/MITRE ATT&CK) for architectural reviews.
• Define guardrails for cloud migrations across AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC pipelines.
• Develop security playbooks and communicate risk to executives clearly.
