Job summary

Gemba Advantage seeks junior to mid-level Software Engineers to join a hybrid, Cheltenham-based delivery team. You’ll help design, develop, and operate secure software services for critical public sector customers, using modern languages and cloud-native tech.

On-site up to 4 days a week, with opportunities to learn and grow under experienced engineers. Willingness to obtain SC and DV clearance is essential, as is working in a collaborative environment focused on quality and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Willingness and eligibility to obtain SC & DV clearance (essential).
• Solid foundation in software engineering principles.
• Experience in at least one modern language (Java, TypeScript, Python, or Go).
• Interest or hands-on exposure to cloud and container technologies such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Proactive attitude toward learning, problem-solving, and improving how things are built.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of secure, scalable software services.
• Research, prototype, and deliver effective technical solutions with the team.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously develop your skills.
• Build and test solutions using modern frameworks and best practices.
• Work directly with customers and collaborate across delivery disciplines.
