Job summary

Searchability NS&D is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer in London to design and deliver scalable backend services that power AI and ML solutions. The role is hybrid, with 2-4 days on-site, and requires active SC or DV clearance.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to productionise ML models, build robust APIs, and deploy across cloud platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong commercial experience developing backend applications and services using Python.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend applications and services using Python.
• Building APIs, integrations and software infrastructure to support AI and machine learning solutions.
• Working alongside data scientists to integrate and operationalise ML models within production systems.
• Developing reusable software components and tools to improve the delivery of AI-enabled applications.
• Working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Using Docker and Kubernetes to build, deploy and manage applications at scale.
• Contributing to software architecture, technical design and engineering best practices.
• Making technical decisions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable.
• Collaborating with engineers, data scientists and client stakeholders to deliver complex technical projects.
