Searchability in London is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer with active SC or DV clearance to join a defence-focused AI and software solutions team. This permanent role combines hands-on backend development with scalable architectures.

You will design and build backend services, APIs, and infrastructure using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms while collaborating with data scientists to operationalise ML models in production.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing backend applications and services using Python.
• Knowledge of ML concepts and deployment of ML models in production.
• Experience building APIs and scalable software systems.
• Familiarity with containerised deployments using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsabilités

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend applications and services using Python.
• Building APIs, integrations and software infrastructure to support AI and machine learning solutions.
• Working alongside data scientists to integrate and operationalise ML models within production systems.
• Developing reusable software components to improve delivery of AI-enabled applications.
• Working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Using Docker and Kubernetes to build, deploy and manage applications at scale.
• Contributing to software architecture, design and engineering best practices.
• Making technical decisions to ensure scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborating with engineers, data scientists and client stakeholders on complex projects.
