Job summary

Babcock in Plymouth is seeking an Assistant Project Manager at our Devonport site to deliver complex naval programmes. You will support planning, governance, and reporting, coordinating with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

This role offers development within the Naval Nuclear business, exposure to major defence programmes, and opportunities to grow your project management career in a leading UK defence, aerospace and engineering organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in project support, coordination, programme management office or project delivery environments.
• Working knowledge of project controls, governance processes, reporting and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supporting project planning, governance, reporting and stakeholder coordination activities.
• Maintaining project controls, schedules, resource information and project documentation.
• Producing accurate reports and management information to support programme performance.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and monitoring actions, risks and project deliverables.
• Ensuring compliance with project management standards, processes and governance requirements.
