Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Plumber to safely install, maintain, and repair plant and equipment on site at ISIS Young Offenders Institute, 40 hours per week.

Role requires Mechanical City & Guilds 6035/6129, NVQ Level 2+, apprenticeship or equivalent, and L8/water regulations awareness. You will follow Mitie policies, comply with health and safety legislation, and work within site security requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical City & Guilds 6035 or equivalent.
• Mechanical City & Guilds 6129 certification.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2+ qualification.
• L8 awareness / water regulations awareness.
• Knowledge of health and safety / safe working practices.
• Experience of building maintenance is an advantage.
• Must be able to work in a prison environment.
• Maintain a high standard of discipline and dress.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in compliance with MITIE Maintenance Policies and Procedures.
• Perform tasks to meet Client and Mitie expectations in a professional manner.
• Comply with Health and Safety policy/legislation.
• Work within the security requirements of the site.
• Safely install, maintain, and repair plant and equipment on site.
• Carry out routine planned preventive maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Carry out reactive work as required.
• Escort sub-contractors ensuring all security requirements are met.
• Attend site meetings and training as required.
• Assist other Mitie disciplines as required.
• Obey Mitie and client rules.
• Undertake additional duties within your capabilities as required.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and legible manner.
