Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting an On Site Plumber to support maintenance at HMP Full Sutton in York. This permanent, 39-hour per week role involves planned and reactive plumbing maintenance within a secure prison, repairing mains water supplies, diagnosing faults, and carrying out water sampling and inspections.

You will join a stable facilities team with clear procedures, ongoing training and career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Safety-first approach and ability to work in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the prison site.
• Complete general repairs including mains water supply.
• Diagnose faults and fix issues at first time where possible.
• Attend inspections, carry out water sampling and basic risk assessments.
• Identify and replace life-expired equipment while following site protocols.
