Job summary

Capita seeks a hands-on Part-time Caretaker in Plymouth to maintain clean, safe facilities and support building maintenance across the site. The role is 15 hours per week across 2 or 3 days and requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

The successful candidate will keep the site operational during adverse weather, assist contractors, and update maintenance records while supporting safety procedures and a professional environment for military personnel and learners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic ground maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of basic building services and maintenance activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
• Have at least a basic knowledge of computers and be capable of data entry.
• Driving license and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and professional facilities.
• Carry out basic building repairs and maintenance.
• Support site safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Assist contractors working on site.
• Help keep the site operational during adverse weather conditions.
• Update maintenance records and support planned maintenance activities.
