Job summary

Arts University Plymouth is seeking a Campus Steward to join the Estates team. The role involves hands-on security, maintenance and guest support across campus, with a practical, proactive approach in a busy university environment.

You will carry out checks, respond to incidents, support fire safety and events, and help keep facilities safe and well‑presented for students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, practical approach to tasks across campus.
• Experience in maintenance, estates, facilities, or security is valued.
• Ability to spot hazards and take corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building checks and patrols across campuses.
• Open/close duties and respond to day‑to‑day security issues.
• Support fire safety, emergencies, events and busy periods.
• Carry out minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Be a friendly, visible campus presence for students, staff and visitors.
