Job summary

Capita Selborne is seeking a part‑time caretaker/janitor in Plymouth to maintain clean and safe facilities at a UK maritime training site. You’ll perform basic repairs, support safety procedures, and assist contractors, with data entry and driving required. Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level is necessary.

Experience in caretaking or janitorial work or recent service leave is a plus for this role. Onsite parking and facilities are available as part of a flexible benefits package.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic ground maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of basic building services and maintenance activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
• Have at least a basic knowledge of computers and be capable of data entry.
• Driving licence and own transport.

Job description

Help keep one of the UK's leading maritime warfare training establishments operating at its best. In this hands‑on role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for military personnel, instructors, and learners by carrying out a range of cleaning and building maintenance activities across the site. Part‑time role - 15 hours a week (can be worked over 2 or 3 days)

Plymouth

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
