We are looking for a Security Administration Officer to work within the team managing the day-to-day administrative duties essential to the smooth operation of all aspects of a Secure facility, supporting a multi-million Business and Service delivery into UK Central Government, Local Government, MOD and Police together with other partners.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has strong administration in a business environment and ideally have knowledge of the Defence Sector, UK Central and Local Government.

CONTRACT

PAYE Contract

Rate: £28,000 - £32,000 salary equivalent (with flex)

Location: On-Site, Reading

Duration: 18 month contract

REQUIREMENTS

• Process BPSS, SC vetting applications and assist Vetting manager with general vetting admin.
• Carry out a range of largely reactive security related administrative duties.
• Act as the facility Security SME for facility users and visitors.
• Manage and act on items received in the group mailboxes for vetting and the secure facility. Promote and support the secure use of the facility for classified engagements.
• Verify the legitimate and secure use of the facility.
• Responsible for Escorting contractors for facility maintenance.
• Attend monthly reviews for the Security Controllers to check workload, compliance, feedback and ensure best practice.
• Assist with security audits, and reviews as required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Someone who is flexible, self motivated, and highly focussed on good Customer Experience in providing an excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Administration in business environment.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (outlook and Teams for meetings, powerpoint, excel and word)
• You MUST be willing to go through security clearance and have the ability to gain SC clearance
