Job summary

Skills for Security is offering an apprentice role in Hemel Hempstead, working with an experienced engineer to install, maintain and fault-find on access control, video surveillance, intruder alarms, and audio/video entry systems.

You’ll train through block release at the Watford centre, one week every eight weeks, and work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a DBS check.
• 18+ due to site restrictions.
• Full UK driver’s licence is essential due to travel requirements.
• Maths, English, Physics/Science GCSE at grade 4 or above.
• Electrical Installation experience is advantageous.

Using high-quality equipment from leading manufacturers, Securi-Smart delivers tailored security systems designed to meet specific customer requirements, while also offering ongoing support, maintenance, and expert advice to ensure reliable long-term protection.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside an experienced engineer to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control

• Video Surveillance

• Intruder Alarms

• Audio and video entry

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in various environments.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Watford centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
