Job summary

Archer Security is seeking an apprentice to work alongside experienced engineers in Telford, installing, maintaining and fault-finding on access control, video surveillance and intruder alarm systems.

You will train hands-on with real systems and learn from industry experts, progressing toward a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship through Skills for Security at our Walsall centre.

Qualifications

• 18+ due to site restrictions.
• Must hold a driver's licence before end of year 1.
• Live within a 30 minute commute of the office.
• Electrical installation experience preferred.
• Maths and English GCSEs at grade 4 or above.
• Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Train hands-on with real access control, video surveillance and intruder alarm systems.
• Learn under experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find.
• Participate in block-release training at the Walsall centre.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

• Access Control
• Video Surveillance
• Intruder Alarms

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and learning new technical skills in various environments.

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Walsall centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday-Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
