Job summary

Douglas Scott Ltd in London is seeking a Secured Lending Solicitor to join its Property Finance team. You will handle lender-side secured lending transactions and manage a varied caseload including bridging finance and both commercial and residential property finance.

The ideal candidate has 3-4+ years PQE, strong lender-side experience in UK private practice, and a track record of drafting and reviewing loan and security documents.

An established and growing London law firm is seeking an experienced Secured Lending Solicitor to join its highly regarded Property Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor with a strong background in lender-side secured lending transactions to join a busy and expanding practice, acting for banks, specialist lenders and bridging finance providers.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of secured lending and property finance matters, including:

• Acting exclusively or predominantly for lenders on secured lending transactions.
• Handling bridging finance and commercial and residential property finance matters.
• Drafting and reviewing loan and security documentation.
• Dealing with third-party mortgages, deeds of priority and associated security arrangements.
• Liaising with borrowers' solicitors and reviewing legal packs.
• Advising on title insurance and related property finance issues.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor with ideally 3-4+ years' PQE.
• Strong lender-side secured lending experience gained in UK private practice is essential.
• At least 3 years' experience handling secured lending and property finance transactions.
• Experience acting for banks, specialist lenders or bridging finance providers.
• Excellent technical knowledge, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage transactions efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
