Job summary

SiXworks in Somerset is seeking a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and validate secure digital solutions in highly secure environments. You will partner with DevSecOps, engineers, and delivery specialists to ensure readiness of OS, network, and pipeline services.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Linux CLI, virtualization (VMware/VirtualBox), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux/Unix command line for diagnostics, configuration and validation.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/VirtualBox) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of infrastructure as code and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions in highly secure environments.
• Develop test strategies for infrastructure and IaC, defining scope, environments, tooling, automation, and governance criteria.
• Provision and validate test environments with DevSecOps, ensuring OS, network, platform services, monitoring, and pipelines align to readiness standards.
• Design and execute tests across physical infrastructure and IaC (functional, integration, regression, security).
• Support accreditation, assurance, and compliance documentation.
