Job summary

SiXworks in the United Kingdom is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions for Defence and National Security missions. You will work with engineers, architects and delivery specialists to automate deployments and enable fast, safe decision-making for critical operations.

Key tasks include collaborating across teams, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and applying secure engineering practices while leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and modern frontend

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure / Hyper‑V / VCF workloads.
• Proficiency in Git for version control.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and data structures.
• Experience with Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with secure engineering and development practices.
• Experience with public and private cloud platforms such as Azure / VCF.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions in highly secure environments.
• Collaborate with Experimentation, Production and Development teams to design and maintain software solutions.
• Translate regulatory and security standards into automated deployments in Azure, VCF and Hyper‑V.
• Develop automation to support Data‑Centric Interoperability workloads following software engineering principles.
• Provide automation / orchestration support across Apps, Platform and Workload pillars.
• Participate in code reviews and stay updated with latest technologies and best practices in software development.
