Job summary

SiXworks is seeking a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer on-site in Somerset to design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions for highly secure environments. You will work with engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to develop and test infrastructure across physical and IaC, emphasizing reliability and security.

You will operate within a Defence and National Security context, applying Secure-by-Design principles and contributing to accreditation and compliance while advancing

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing/testing infrastructure for secure environments.
• Experience with on-premise and cloud infrastructure, networks, and OS hardening.
• Familiar with regulated or high-security environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions in highly secure environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to enable faster, safer decision-making.
• Plan and implement infrastructure-focused test strategies and governance criteria.
• Provision and validate test environments with DevSecOps, ensuring readiness standards.
• Design and execute tests across physical infra and IaC: functional, integration, resilience, security.
• Support accreditation, assurance, and compliance documentation.
• Apply Secure-by-Design principles in testing.
