Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to operate, maintain and improve secure Windows and Red Hat environments in highly controlled settings. The role requires on-site attendance at the Yeovil site and collaboration with senior engineers, service management, security and customer teams.

You will deliver operational tasks, support deployments and automate improvements while upholding ITIL-aligned processes and rigorous security standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in system administration and engineering in controlled environments.
• Ability to work independently on defined activities within a wider operations team.
• Understanding of incident, change and configuration management in ITIL-aligned services.
• Awareness of cyber security controls, hardening and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and support Windows and Linux platforms in secure environments.
• Deployments, configuration changes, monitoring, patching, upgrades and backups.
• Support incident, problem and change activity including RCA where needed.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation and technical evidence for audits.
