Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a 3rd Line Platform Engineer to join a skilled team supporting a critical MOD site in London. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert for Windows-based enterprise infrastructures, driving the design, deployment and support of high-security systems underpinning defence operations.

This on-site, permanent role requires DV clearance and offers a comprehensive benefits package, ongoing professional development, and mentoring opportunities to help you deliver reliable IT

Qualifications

• Experience with high-security MOD systems and secure design principles.
• Knowledge of RMADS, SyOPs and NIST frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex technical issues through to resolution with users and IT teams.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting for incidents escalated from 1st/2nd line support.
• Deploy and maintain secure Windows Server environments (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security measures (patching, access controls, hardening).
• Use monitoring tools to optimize performance and ensure high availability.
• Create technical documentation and mentor colleagues.
• Participate in IT projects to meet technical/business objectives.
