AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Bid Writer to join the internal Win Work Operations team. You will develop high-quality proposals and tender responses for our consulting, engineering and technology portfolio, translating complex information into clear, persuasive content.

Collaborate with technical experts and business leaders to ensure submissions are compliant and compelling. You will build a library of reusable content and support improvements to bid processes, tools, and templates.

We are looking for a Bid Writer to join our internal Win Work Operations team. This role will support our Win Work efforts by writing compelling, high-quality proposals that win work across our consulting, engineering and technology portfolio. You will work closely with technical experts, business leaders, and the wider proposals team to develop responses that clearly articulate our compelling value proposition and align with client requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer with a passion for storytelling and a strategic mindset to make an impact on the growth of our business.

Your role

• Development and writing of high-quality, client-focused proposals and tender responses.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive written content.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant, compelling, and client focused.
• Develop, manage and maintain a library of reusable content and case studies.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement of bid processes, tools and templates.
• Participate in bid reviews and lessons learned sessions.

Technical skills

• Proven experience writing.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to interpret technical information and present it in a client-friendly format.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Ways to stand-out

• Working towards APMP certification or equivalent is advantageous.
• Experience working in professional services.
• Experience of using AI to support writing.
• Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes.
• Understanding of structured bidding methodologies such as Shipley proposal development process or similar bid methodologies.
