Job summary

Capita is hiring a Caretaker/Janitor for the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre. The role is 40 hours per week with a focus on cleaning and facilities maintenance, including windows, grounds, and general site upkeep. Applicants should be prepared for police vetting and willingness to travel to other sites on occasion.

Experience in maintenance or cleaning within secure environments is preferred. A valid clean driving licence and UK residence history of 3+ years are required for vetting

Qualifications

• Basic ICT, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Hold a current clean driving licence.
• Flexible regarding working hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full cleaning service across the facility (planned, reactive and specialist).
• Undertake monthly internal and external window cleaning.
• Maintain stock levels of consumables and equipment.
