Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applicants for an 8-month Healthcare Apprentice programme in the Secure Care Division. Qualifications

• Basic IT skills, numeracy and literacy are required.
• Willingness to undertake the Care Certificate and work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and show a nonjudgemental attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out direct care and observation of service users under supervision.
• Participate in the ward shift system.
• Attend education sessions to achieve the Intermediate Apprenticeship at Level 2.
• Potential progression to a Band 3 Nursing Assistant post after completion.
