Job summary

The Healthcare Apprentice role in the Secure Care Division offers an 8-month apprenticeship with placements across sites while undertaking an Intermediate Apprenticeship Health and Social Care Framework (Level 2). A Band 2 nurse assistant post may follow on completion, with a fixed-term 12-month contract and shift work across multiple sites in the North West.

Applicants must be male (18+), with no prior health care qualifications, and be willing to relocate to Liverpool area for placements.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills, numeracy and literacy.
• Willingness to undertake Care Certificate and Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Work across the Secure Care Division sites and be flexible to locations as required.
• Carry out assigned duties involving direct care and observation under supervision.
• Participate in the ward shift system and attend education sessions for Level 2 apprenticeship.
