Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust offers a 12-month Secure Care Division apprenticeship with placements across secure mental health and learning disability services. You will provide direct care under a nurse’s guidance and attend weekly college studying Level 2 Health and Social Care.

Role requires male applicants 18+, with no prior healthcare experience or Level 2 qualification. The division is mobile, with sites including Ashworth Hospital and others.

Formación

• Basic IT skills, numeracy and literacy.
• No existing Health and Social Care qualification or full Level 2 health and social care apprenticeship.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care and observe service users under the guidance of a qualified nurse or delegated team member (on placement).
• Take part in the shift system on the ward, team or department.
• Attend education sessions for the Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework in Health and Social Care.
• Complete placements across clinical and educational settings in the Secure Care Division.
• Work at any Secure Care site, including listed hospitals.
