Job summary

Addition Solutions LTD is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions for national security programmes. The role supports end-to-end cloud architectures across complex environments with a strong emphasis on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AWS cloud architecture and services experience.
• Ability to design and deliver cloud solutions in complex environments.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of integrating cloud-native and legacy systems.
• Experience working with AWS and Azure environments is beneficial.
• Strong requirements analysis and solution design capability.
• Exposure to pre-sales, technical presentations, or client-facing solution design.
• Active DV security clearance (essential).

Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements into secure, scalable AWS-based solutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end cloud architectures across complex environments.
• Build and integrate modern cloud-native solutions using AWS services and supporting technologies.
• Work across event-driven architectures, microservices, and containerised environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams, delivery leads, and stakeholders for successful outcomes.
• Support solution governance, technical assurance, and compliance with strict security standards.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks, internal capability, and innovation demonstrators.
• Support pre-sales activities including solution shaping, proposals, and client engagement.
