Job summary

Taylor Woodrow in London is seeking an experienced Package Manager / Section Manager to lead architectural fit-out delivery on HS2 Old Oak Common Station. You will own subcontractor packages, coordinate interfaces with MEPH, lifts and escalators, and drive safe, high-quality delivery from planning through handover.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Proven experience managing subcontractor packages on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Commercial awareness, including procurement, subcontract management and cost control.
• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation (ICE, APM or equivalent).
• Experience delivering complex architectural fit-out packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of architectural fit-out packages from mobilisation through to completion.
• Manage subcontractor performance, programme, quality and commercial outcomes.
• Coordinate interfaces between fit-out works, MEPH, lifts, escalators and wider project teams.
• Champion a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all project safety requirements.
• Review and improve construction methodologies, risk assessments and permit systems.
• Resolve technical and construction challenges through effective planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive quality assurance processes, inspections, defect management and handover documentation.
• Monitor programme performance, productivity and KPIs, implementing improvement initiatives where required.
• Lead procurement activities and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Support, mentor and develop Assistant Package Managers and wider team members.

Job Role

We're looking for an experienced Package Manager / Section Manager to lead the delivery of architectural fit-out works on the landmark HS2 Old Oak Common Station project. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure schemes and play a key role in delivering what will become one of the country's largest and best-connected railway stations. Working within the BBVS delivery team, you'll take ownership of fit-out subcontractor packages, coordinate complex interfaces across the project, and drive safe, high-quality delivery from planning through to handover. Reporting to the Senior Package Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating fit-out subcontractor packages while ensuring integration with key interfaces including MEPH, lifts, escalators and other construction workstreams. You'll lead project delivery across safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives while managing and developing junior team members

Person Specification

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Proven experience managing subcontractor packages on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience managing quality processes, technical compliance and project handovers.
• Commercial awareness, including procurement, subcontract management and cost control.
• Ability to drive programme performance and manage project risks effectively.
• Experience working on railway infrastructure, stations, transport hubs or major infrastructure projects.
• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation (ICE, APM or equivalent).
• Experience delivering complex architectural fit-out packages.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
