Job summary

DCS Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer / Package Manager to join a major infrastructure project at Old Oak Common in London. You will oversee delivery of roofing, façades and structural steel packages, lead a small management team and coordinate subcontractors to meet programme and quality targets.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, NEC contracts knowledge, and a track record in major infrastructure delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Experience with roofing, façades and structural steel packages.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency with NEC contracts and CSCS card.

Responsibilities

Senior Engineer / Package Manager

£51,000-£56,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

Lead Specialist Construction Packages at Old Oak Common

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer / Package Manager to join a major infrastructure project at Old Oak Common.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in roofing systems, façades and structural steel packages to take ownership of specialist works, coordinate subcontractors and lead a team of two Package Managers and one Assistant Package Manager.

Applicants should be based locally to Old Oak Common or within a practical commuting distance of the site.

The Role

You will oversee the delivery of allocated construction packages, coordinating design and site activities to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting two Package Managers and one Assistant Package Manager.
• Managing the day-to-day delivery of allocated work packages.
• Overseeing subcontractor performance, programmes and deliverables.
• Coordinating roofing, façade and structural steel works, including interfaces with other packages.
• Working closely with design, commercial and site teams to support delivery.
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.
• Identifying risks and resolving design and construction interface issues.
• Monitoring progress, addressing delivery challenges and driving continuous improvement.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and progress reports.

Skills and Experience Required

• A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience delivering major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience managing roofing systems, façades and structural steel packages.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• A valid CSCS card.
• The ability to commute reliably to Old Oak Common.

Desirable Experience

• SMSTS qualification.
• Experience with doors, cladding or glazing packages.
• Rail or major infrastructure interfaces, including Network Rail or HS2.
• Temporary works and lifting operations.
