Job summary

A leading construction company in London is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Structural team on a significant infrastructure project. Job Role

Taylor Woodrow are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to work on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. This role will be working within the Structural team at the HS2 Old Oak Common site, part of the BBVS Joint Venture.

Duties
  • Manage a team of two Assistant Package Managers.
  • Ensure safe, environmentally sound, and efficient execution of works.
  • Collaborate with design management and subcontractors to deliver design portions.
  • Oversee contract communications, documentation, and subcontractor performance.
  • Track progress, readiness certification, and site activity reporting.
Person Specification
  • Degree-level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MSc) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge of steel works and structural elements within large infrastructure projects.
  • Awareness of scheduling, programme management, and quality control processes.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including familiarity with BIM and construction management tools.
