Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Section Engineer to work on Energy projects from Norwich to Tilbury. The role involves resolving technical problems, inspections, surveying, and ensuring construction works meet contract and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have civil engineering qualifications and prior site or section engineering experience on construction projects, with strong surveying and setting-out skills. Murphy offers extensive development and a broad range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience as a Section or Site Engineer.
• Experience on Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience in surveying and setting out techniques.
• Knowledge of Quality, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical problems at all levels on site.
• Carry out inspections according to the Inspection and Test Plan.
• Produce survey information and as-built red lines.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in-date per policy.
• Ensure construction operations meet contract requirements.
• Provide clear information so site personnel can perform duties.
• Supervise outputs and confirm environmental requirements are met.
• Ensure materials on site are stored and handled properly.
• Assist in updating KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports.
