Job summary

J. Murphy & Sons Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Section Engineer to deliver energy projects from Norwich to Tilbury. You will resolve technical problems, supervise site operations and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and proven site or section engineering experience, with surveying and setting-out expertise, quality and safety focus, and collaboration with site teams to deliver EPC-style projects.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
Experience as a Section or Site Engineer on civil/construction projects.
Experience in surveying and setting out techniques.
Understanding of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

Resolve technical problems at all levels on site.
Carry out inspections per the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner.
Produce survey information and red-lined drawings for As-built records.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and in date per requirements.
Ensure construction operations meet contract requirements and procedures.
Provide clear information to site personnel to carry out duties.
Supervise outputs and confirm environmental requirements are met.
Ensure materials on site are suitable and stored per guidelines.
Assist Site Management in updating KPIs, material reconciliation and progress reports.
