Job summary

Galliford Try, Banwell, is seeking a Section Engineer to lead setting out, QA and coordination on the Banwell Bypass project. You will work with the Site Agent and project team to deliver works safely, accurately and to programme.

The role requires reading drawings, using Level, EDM and GPS, and applying RAMS and ITPs. You will mentor junior engineers, maintain records, and support commercial colleagues.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret drawings, data and technical information on site.
• Strong setting-out skills using Level, EDM and GPS with civil engineering experience.
• Organises and prioritises own work while supporting others to deliver objectives.
• Demonstrates leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborates with colleagues across disciplines and levels of experience.
• Willing to learn and share knowledge with others.
• Holds or working towards NVQ 3+ and has SMSTS/CSCS certifications.
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment and ensure quality requirements.
• Support the Site Agent with planning, coordination and resourcing of site activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to deliver works safely and to programme.
