Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture seeks a Civil Engineering professional to develop designs, programmes and costs for HS2 works. You will prepare for delivery, manage resources, supervise site teams and subcontractors, while ensuring adherence to contract, programme and budget.

You will implement health, safety and environmental policies, maintain QA records, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to secure approvals and successful handovers.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and best practice
• Ability to use initiative and work independently with a team

Responsibilities

• Develop design, construction methodology, programme and cost for the area of work
• Prepare for delivery, manage resources, supervise and mentor site teams and subcontractors
• Ensure progress aligns with contract, programme and budget with design requirements
• Implement HS2 and statutory health, safety, environment and PR requirements
• Manage QA within works, compile handover packs and obtain client approval
• Maintain full daily site diary and records of changes, variations and discussions
• Ensure inspection/test plans, risk assessments and method statements are followed
