Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture is seeking an experienced site professional for the South Ruislip Ventilation Shaft site. The role involves developing design, construction methodology, programme and cost, and delivering works in line with contract and budget.

You will lead the site team, manage resources, and ensure compliance with HS2 and statutory Health, Safety, Environment requirements. Strong collaboration with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and best practice.
• Knowledge of working to and implementing construction contracts.
• Ability to use initiative based on engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to adapt style.
• CSCS Card holder.
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Develop the design, construction methodology, programme and cost.
• Prepare for the delivery of the works, including resources, procurement, consents, and pre-start documentation.
• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to optimise their work contribution.
• Review contractual agreements and develop detailed site programmes and forecast budgets.
• Be familiar with subcontractor contracts and manage subcontractor accounts with QS team.
• Requisition resources to ensure timely delivery and prevent programme delays.
• Communicate non-conformances and instructions to the team and client/RE staff.
• Maintain a full daily site diary and records of variations and discussions.
• Ensure inspection/test plans, risk assessments and method statements are implemented.
• Demonstrate commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
