Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer level professional to design and deliver cost‑effective, compliant infrastructure solutions across major routes in the UK. The role involves reviewing PSC submissions, coordinating with internal experts, and ensuring CDM compliance while delivering production milestones.

You will engage with communities and stakeholders, promoting collaboration, equality, diversity and inclusion, and supporting development opportunities across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out independent checks on a wide variety of designs and interpret specifications and reports.
• Strong planning and organisational skills under pressure with deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and affordable design solutions that meet requirements and provide value for money.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer in managing the design programme and flag issues.
• Engage with stakeholders and external experts to inform design updates and compliance.
• Attend public consultations and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
• Identify and present Value Engineering opportunities and design recommendations.
• Support environmental design development and consenting processes.
