Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to lead defined civils work packages on the ASTI Netherton Hub project near Aberdeen. You will coordinate earthworks, drainage, concrete structures and temporary works, ensuring safe, on‑time delivery and compliance with project specs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering defined sections of civils works on infrastructure, energy, highways or civils projects.
• Sound knowledge of earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete and temporary works.
• Confidence with setting-out, QA documentation, method statements and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the delivery of defined sections of work across the ASTI civils package, ensuring activities are completed safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards.
• Supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of core civils works, including earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete structures, ducting, and access infrastructure.
• Setting out works and maintaining accurate engineering control and survey data in line with project requirements.
• Managing and maintaining QA documentation, inspection and test plans, and as‑built records.
• Assisting with the preparation and implementation of method statements, risk assessments, and temporary works.
• Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour to ensure efficient and safe site operations.
• Working closely with the Site Agent, Sub Agent, and wider project team to resolve technical queries and maintain progress.
• Monitoring progress against programme and supporting the identification and mitigation of risks and constraints.
• Ensuring full compliance with Balfour Beatty’s health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative site culture aligned with Balfour Beatty values and behaviours.
