Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Section Engineer to join the Sizewell C Project team in Suffolk. You will plan, provide engineering control, and supervise defined works on a major nuclear infrastructure site, acting as technical lead on site.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, coordinating engineers and suppliers, and maintaining safety and quality records. CAFS and CSCS card are expected; ICE/CIOB membership is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
• Civil engineering experience including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure/highways/heavy civils/structures.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems.
• Strong IT skills with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Working towards ICE or CIOB membership; CSCS card held.

Job description

We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Sizewell C Project team based in Suffolk.

Location: Sizewell C Project, Suffolk
Hours: Typically 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Section Engineer, you will plan, provide engineering control, and supervise site operations for a defined section of works within a highly regulated nuclear infrastructure environment. You'll act as the technical lead on site, supporting the Sub-Agent to ensure works are executed correctly, efficiently, and safely. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a major infrastructure project whilst making a real impact.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the Sizewell C Project team, supporting them in delivering safe, high-quality construction activities. Your day to day will include:

• Maintaining as-built records and quality documentation to meet stringent quality standards.

What are we looking for?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

• You hold a Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline,
• You have relevant experience in civil engineering, including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structures,
• You possess strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems,
• You have strong IT skills with confidence using MS Office and AutoCAD,
• You are working towardsprofessional membership such as ICE or CIOB, and hold a CSCS card.
